The French Office in Taipei's mission is to facilitate and promote exchanges between France and Taiwan, particularly in the economic, cultural, educational, and scientific fields. It includes a press and communications department, a cooperation and cultural action department, a consular and administrative section, an economic department, and a Business France department.

The Cooperation and Cultural Action Department's mission is to develop cultural, educational, and scientific exchanges between France and Taiwan. It hosts the Espace CampusFrance, responsible for promoting French higher education, and coordinates the French cultural and cooperation network in Taiwan, which consists of the Alliance Française de Taiwan, the French Section of the European School in Taipei, the Taipei Branch of the French Center for Contemporary China Studies, and the Taipei Center of the French School of the Far East.
